As the Utorda Beach in South Goa has vast stretches of beautiful sands it the ideal place where you can enjoy relaxed atmosphere & go for long walks. It is also nice for swimming & sunbathing. The Utorda beach area is place for a number of the big hotels in Goa and most of these hotels are amidst exotic gardens across the beach. The beautiful coast of the Utorda beach is richly covered with palm and coconut trees. There are tiny clusters of beach shack restaurants & a few fishing villages scattered under the coconut palms. Known for its serene & secluded atmosphere, Utorda Beach is visited by a thousands of tourists every year.

The ‘queen of beaches’, Calangute one of the most visited travel destination Goa, nine miles from the Goan Capital Panaji, the beach is spread four miles along the Arabian sea.
From the resorts of Calangute beach, trips can be made to nearby town and other tourist sights like Church of St. Alex, St. Anthony Chapel and others.
The nearest railway station is at Thivim, and taxi from there takes about 20 minutes and costs around Rs.300. Other nearby railway stations are at Margao and Vasco.There are numerous restaurants that cater variety of sea food.Some of the very good restaurants in calangute beach are Temptation Shack,After seven and Electric cats for some great sea food.
If you go from the center of the town to the beach, you will find a massive amount of water sports operators; they are cheap and fun but their safety is very doubtful due to the large number of jetskis operating in the breaking waves.
Goa’s government enjoy the bigger package of tourist attraction in India because of Calangute Beach. This beach is a costal splendour and is Goa’s pride. People with artistic nature can buy Kashmiri handicrafts, jewellery etc. Clothes of Karnatakan textiles, Gujarati textiles, Kashmiri textiles are available at a very cheap rate.The Night parties in this beach are very quiet and is not as wild and hard as in Anjuna Beach.
A final word of caution for women.This beach is not completely safe for single women particularly in the late evenings.
